How To Use Embellishments?

Want to add gold foil, silver foil or spot gloss to your design? While our online editor doesn’t support embellishments just yet, you can still include them in your order! Simply fill out a quick design brief form to let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll provide you with a custom quote. Read on to learn how the process works and how to share your ideas with us!

Step 1

Formatting Artwork

When designing, please use vector graphics whenever possible. If you upload a JPEG or PNG, every colored area (non-white) will be treated as embellished. You can create artwork with our dieline templates and upload your design directly in the design brief. Please submit as a print ready PDF for best results (Formatting Tips Here!).

Step 2

Take The Design Brief

When filling out the design brief please be as detailed as possible so we know exactly what elements you want embellished. You’re welcome to include artwork files/inspiration images to help us understand your vision!

Step 3

Project Approval

Once you submit your design brief (and artwork), our team will review it and send back a quote with your artwork formatted for embellishments within 24 business hours for your approval.

Step 4

Approve The Design

Love your design? After you confirm everything looks right, we’ll invoice you and bring your custom design to life!

  • Use Vector Graphics

For embellishments, use vector graphics for best results. With JPEGs or PNGs, all colored areas will be treated as embellished.

  • Distinguish The Embellishments

Using foiling? Make those elements a standout color (like magenta or cyan) so they're easy to spot. For spot gloss, use the actual color beneath—it prints clear.

  • Lamination Goes On Top

If you’re using lamination (Gloss, Matte, or Soft Touch), please note it is always applied last, over embellishments. Some combinations may reduce the shine or effect, so contact us if you’re unsure.

  • No White Spot Gloss

We can not use white backgrounds with spot gloss—darker colors give the best results.
